Who is Freedom Rodriguez?
If you've never had the pleasure of meeting Freedom you will soon. He's a man of few words but his passion for humanity speaks volumes. Freedom is a father, a husband, an artist, a deeply religious man and a creative activist to say the least.
In Facing Freedom, Michael and I had the pleasure of documenting Freedom's journey into creative activism as he sought to define his art beyond its aesthetic value by giving it away in service. The journey is not yet over and since it began over a year ago, we've seen Freedom's work transform the lives of many.
I have always believed that art serves a higher purpose in our lives and throughout this process my belief that art can change the world has become stronger. As we continue to cultivate Freedom's story into the film that will become Facing Freedom we are reminded that the kindness and compassion of others is what has made it all possible.
